Oman is a signatory to international intellectual property treaties such as the Paris Convention and the WIPO Convention, and a member of the Madrid Protocol. Therefore, trademark registration in Oman can be obtained through the "single country registration" method, or through the Madrid International Registration designating Oman.
Starting from the date of application, for those who need to continue using the registration after the expiration of the validity period, they should apply for renewal registration 6 months before the expiration of the registration. Each renewal registration is valid for 10 years and can be renewed indefinitely.

The applicant may submit a review within the time limit from the date of receiving the rejection notice. Otherwise, the application will be deemed abandoned, and the application date and number will not be retained.
After examination, the examiner believes that the trademark application can be accepted and will publish a notice in the official trademark announcement of Oman. The objection period is 3 months from the date of announcement.
Trademarks that have been ruled to be eligible for registration after opposition, or trademarks that have been published without opposition, will be granted registration and a registration certificate will be issued. The entire smooth application process (if there are no rejections, objections, etc.) will take approximately 6-8 months.
It should be noted that there is no "registration certificate" in Oman, so applicants need to complete the relevant procedures before obtaining the registration certificate.
