1. Patent application form (including the names and addresses of the applicant and inventor. If the applicant is a legal entity, the name of the legal representative should also be provided)

1. Application: Submit patent application documents, applicant and inventor information
2. Publicity: This application will be announced 18 months after the submission date.
3. Review: Search for existing technologies. The examiner will examine the existing technology and compare it with the applicant's Singapore patent application to determine whether the invention in the application still has novelty.
4. Registration: After receiving the search and examination report, the applicant must evaluate whether they need to continue obtaining authorization for a patent and maintain the patent. If the applicant deems it necessary, they can submit an authorization request within 2 months. Once authorized, an authorization certificate will be issued.

Starting from the application date. Afterwards, an extension can be applied for every 5 years, but the maximum protection period shall not exceed 15 years.

3. Product name (generic name, model and other irrelevant information cannot be added);
4. Exterior Design Drawing (6-sided Stereoscopic View)
5. Priority information (if any): Application receipt/accepted priority proof document for priority patent [DAS code and copy of priority proof document]
Acceptable drawing types: line drawing, rendered drawing.
In Singapore, if two or more individuals independently complete the same design, the design rights will be granted to the first applicant. If the applicant has already submitted a design application within the territory of a member of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property and files the same application in Singapore within 6 months after the application date, they may enjoy priority.
When applying, the applicant may request a postponement of disclosure, which means that the design will not be disclosed within 18 months from the date of application.
If the designs belong to the same category, a maximum of 50 designs can be included in one application.
