Substantive examination and formal examination
1. Applicant: Name, Address, Nationality
2. Inventor: Name, Address, Nationality
3. Appearance design name (in Chinese and foreign languages)
4. Product design drawings, isometric views (unfolded views), and six sided views (i.e. front view, rear view, left view, right view, top view, and bottom view) must have consistent size ratios for all views.
5. Priority information [if any] (a copy of priority proof is required, DAS code is not accepted)
1. Application: Submit to the Indonesian Intellectual Property Office.
2. Formal review: If the application is incomplete, a 3-month rectification period will be given, otherwise it will be considered withdrawn. After submitting the application, the application number and application date will be issued.
3. Announcement: The application will be announced within 3 months from the date of application. According to the requirements, the application can be extended for a maximum period of 12 months. Relevant parties may raise objections during the application announcement period. Objections must be submitted within 3 months after receiving the notification.
4. Substantive examination: If there are no objections or objections are not valid during the announcement period, the examiner will conduct substantive examination; If the review fails, a rejection notice will be issued and a response will be required within the specified time.
5. Registration: A registration certificate will be issued within 2 months after the review is completed.

Substantive examination and formal examination
1. Complete patent specification in Indonesian language (not to be supplemented later);
2. The English names and addresses of the applicant and inventor;
3. Power of attorney (original required; can be supplemented later, within one month from the date of submission);
4. Ownership statement (original required; can be supplemented later, within one month from the date of submission);
5. Transfer declaration (original copy required; can be supplemented later, within one month from the date of submission);
6. Original version and its English translation (via Paris Convention, can be supplemented later, within two months from the submission date)
Application - Formal examination (within 1 month) - Publication - (within 6 months from the date of filing the application) - Objection (the patent application has a public notice period of 6 months, during which relevant parties can raise objections. During the examination stage, statements and counter statements related to objections will be considered) - Substantive examination - Registration (within 36 months after the application date. The Patent Office has the obligation to approve or reject a patent application.
