1. Sudan is located in northeastern Africa, along the Red Sea coast and at the eastern end of the Sahara Desert. 3. The Sudan Intellectual Property Office is responsible for managing trademark affairs and the official language is Arabic.

At present, the Sudan Intellectual Property Office adopts the Nice Classification 10th edition for the description of goods and services and does not accept applications with multiple categories in one form. Moreover, products classified as alcoholic beverages are not allowed to apply for registration in Sudan.
Sudan is a signatory to international intellectual property treaties such as the WIPO Convention, Paris Convention, and Geneva Convention, as well as a member of the Madrid Agreement and Madrid Protocol. Therefore, trademark registration in Sudan can be handled through "single country registration" or "Madrid international registration".
The trademark is valid for 10 years from the date of application; Renewal can be processed within 6 months before the expiration date, with a grace period of 6 months (with additional fees) and a validity period of 10 years.
