If a trademark is not used locally in Libya for five consecutive years after being registered and certified, any interested natural person or company may apply to revoke the registered trademark;

After passing the examination, the applicant will receive a notice of acceptance for trademark registration
After the examination is approved, the Libyan Trademark Office will announce the registration application for the trademark. During the announcement period, if no objection is raised or if the objection is ruled invalid, the Libyan Trademark Office will approve the trademark registration application.
After approval of registration, the applicant will receive a Trademark Registration Certificate. The Trademark Registration Certificate will indicate the trademark registration number and stamp with the steel seal of the Libyan Trademark Office.
Starting from the date of approval, if no objection is raised or the objection is ruled invalid within the prescribed period, the trademark will be registered. If everything goes smoothly, the entire process will take approximately 12-18 months.
